Approximately 300 x 191 cm, this rug showcases a classic kazak-style layout with strong geometric medallions and patterned borders, led by a red field with cream, blue, and yellow accents. Its generous size suits a living room seating area, under a 6–8 seat dining table, or as an anchor piece in a large bedroom.
About this design
Named after the city of Kazak (also spelt Qazax) in modern-day Azerbaijan, Kazak rugs feature distinctive geometric patterns, and are often red, cream, blue or gold in colour. Super Kazak rugs utilize similar designs, but are constructed with superior pile and a finer finish. Kazak rugs knotted in Afghanistan are often referred to as Afghan Ghazni.
