Approximately 292 x 199 cm, this kazak-style rug features a cream field with bold geometric medallions and a strong border in red and blue tones. Its balanced, medium-large size makes it well suited to a living room, providing a statement piece that anchors seating without overwhelming the space.
About this design
Named after the city of Kazak (also spelt Qazax) in modern-day Azerbaijan, Kazak rugs feature distinctive geometric patterns, and are often red, cream, blue or gold in colour. Super Kazak rugs utilize similar designs, but are constructed with superior pile and a finer finish. Kazak rugs knotted in Afghanistan are often referred to as Afghan Ghazni.
