Approximately 257 x 185 cm, this rug features a bold red field with crisp geometric medallions, stepped motifs and layered borders accented in cream, blue and touches of yellow. Its generous, room-anchoring size suits a living room or larger bedroom, providing a strong focal point beneath a coffee table or at the foot of a bed.
About this design
Named after the city of Kazak (also spelt Qazax) in modern-day Azerbaijan, Kazak rugs feature distinctive geometric patterns, and are often red, cream, blue or gold in colour. Super Kazak rugs utilize similar designs, but are constructed with superior pile and a finer finish. Kazak rugs knotted in Afghanistan are often referred to as Afghan Ghazni.
