An approximately 293 x 86 cm runner with a rich red field featuring repeating geometric medallions and a patterned border in dark accents. Its slim, elongated size makes it ideal for a hallway or entryway, and it can also work well along a kitchen galley or beside a bed.
About this design
Kunduz rugs share similar colours and patterns to Khal Mohammadi rugs, but are of finer quality with tidy knotting and smooth, almost velvety pile. You will frequently see Kunduz rugs with a small section of flat-woven 'kilim' at either end, next to the fringes. They are hand-knotted in the Kunduz region of northern Afghanistan.
