An approx 425 cm x 80 cm runner with a classic jaldar layout featuring repeating diamond guls and detailed borders. Its elongated shape makes it well suited to a hallway, entryway, or along a galley kitchen or bedside walkway.
About this design
Jaldar rugs feature a very soft and luxurious pile, and are commonly woven in Pakistan. They can easily be confused with Pakistani Bokhara rugs, which have a very similar construction and feel. Jaldar, however, feature more angular, diamond shaped guls, as opposed to the more rounded guls found on Bokhara. This particular rug also features a 'silk touch' - some of the design highlights are silk pile.
