An approximately 422 cm x 77 cm runner featuring a classic jaldar layout of repeating diamond-shaped guls and a framed border of small geometric motifs. Its narrow, elongated proportions make it ideal for a hallway or entry corridor, and it would also sit neatly along the side of a bed or in a galley kitchen.
About this design
Jaldar rugs feature a very soft and luxurious pile, and are commonly woven in Pakistan. They can easily be confused with Pakistani Bokhara rugs, which have a very similar construction and feel. Jaldar, however, feature more angular, diamond shaped guls, as opposed to the more rounded guls found on Bokhara. This particular rug also features a 'silk touch' - some of the design highlights are silk pile.
