An approximately 416 cm x 77 cm runner featuring the classic jaldar layout with repeating diamond guls and a framed border of fine geometric motifs. Its long, narrow profile makes it well suited to a hallway or entry, and it also works neatly in a kitchen galley or along a corridor.
About this design
Jaldar rugs feature a very soft and luxurious pile, and are commonly woven in Pakistan. They can easily be confused with Pakistani Bokhara rugs, which have a very similar construction and feel. Jaldar, however, feature more angular, diamond shaped guls, as opposed to the more rounded guls found on Bokhara. This particular rug also features a 'silk touch' - some of the design highlights are silk pile.
