A long jaldar runner featuring a chain of angular diamond guls along the field, framed by patterned borders with repeating motifs in contrasting tones. At approximately 415 x 77 cm, it’s well suited to a hallway, entryway, or galley kitchen, adding pattern and visual interest along a narrow passage.
About this design
Jaldar rugs feature a very soft and luxurious pile, and are commonly woven in Pakistan. They can easily be confused with Pakistani Bokhara rugs, which have a very similar construction and feel. Jaldar, however, feature more angular, diamond shaped guls, as opposed to the more rounded guls found on Bokhara. This particular rug also features a 'silk touch' - some of the design highlights are silk pile.
