A runner with a jaldar pattern of repeating diamond guls and framed borders, presented in a cream ground with contrasting geometric accents. At approximately 407 cm x 77 cm, its long, narrow size suits a hallway, entry corridor, or alongside a bed.
About this design
Jaldar rugs feature a very soft and luxurious pile, and are commonly woven in Pakistan. They can easily be confused with Pakistani Bokhara rugs, which have a very similar construction and feel. Jaldar, however, feature more angular, diamond shaped guls, as opposed to the more rounded guls found on Bokhara. This particular rug also features a 'silk touch' - some of the design highlights are silk pile.
