An approximately 377 cm x 80 cm runner featuring a classic jaldar layout with repeating diamond-shaped guls and a framed border on a grey ground. Its long, narrow profile is ideal for a hallway or entryway, and it would also suit along a corridor or beside a bed.
About this design
Jaldar rugs feature a very soft and luxurious pile, and are commonly woven in Pakistan. They can easily be confused with Pakistani Bokhara rugs, which have a very similar construction and feel. Jaldar, however, feature more angular, diamond shaped guls, as opposed to the more rounded guls found on Bokhara. This particular rug also features a 'silk touch' - some of the design highlights are silk pile.
