Approximately 272 cm x 186 cm, this kazak-style rug features a cream ground with bold geometric medallions and angular motifs framed by patterned borders, highlighted with red, blue and yellow accents. Its medium–large size suits a living room seating area, under a medium dining table, or a spacious bedroom.
About this design
Named after the city of Kazak (also spelt Qazax) in modern-day Azerbaijan, Kazak rugs feature distinctive geometric patterns, and are often red, cream, blue or gold in colour. Super Kazak rugs utilize similar designs, but are constructed with superior pile and a finer finish. Kazak rugs knotted in Afghanistan are often referred to as Afghan Ghazni.
