Shirvan (also spelt Shervan, Sherwan) is the name of a city in the Caucasus region, now modern-day Azerbaijan. Shirvan carpets feature geometric designs, similar to the Kazak and Super Kazak family. This rug was constructed by master rug-makers in Afghanistan, and is inspired by the Shirvan rugs of the Caucasus.
