An approximately 240 cm x 150 cm rug featuring a jaldar-inspired layout of repeating angular diamond guls and a framed border. The palette centers on cream with contrasting accents in red, brown, and black, creating a crisp geometric look. Its medium size suits a living room seating area or under a coffee table, and also works well in a bedroom or home office.
About this design
Jaldar rugs feature a very soft and luxurious pile, and are commonly woven in Pakistan. They can easily be confused with Pakistani Bokhara rugs, which have a very similar construction and feel. Jaldar, however, feature more angular, diamond shaped guls, as opposed to the more rounded guls found on Bokhara. This particular rug also features a 'silk touch' - some of the design highlights are silk pile.
