Approximately 219 cm x 168 cm, this rug features a classic jaldar layout with repeating diamond-shaped guls and framed borders on a rich red field, highlighted with cream and black accents. Its medium size is well suited for a living room under a coffee table, a home office, or beside a bed in a bedroom.
About this design
Jaldar rugs feature a very soft and luxurious pile, and are commonly woven in Pakistan. They can easily be confused with Pakistani Bokhara rugs, which have a very similar construction and feel. Jaldar, however, feature more angular, diamond shaped guls, as opposed to the more rounded guls found on Bokhara. This particular rug also features a 'silk touch' - some of the design highlights are silk pile.
