Approximately 60 cm x 40 cm, this piece features a classic Bokhara design with repeating geometric guls on a rich red field accented by black and cream details. Its compact size makes it ideal for an entryway, beside a bed, or in front of a favorite chair as a small indoor accent.
About this design
These rugs are named after the Bokhara (also spelt Bukhara) region in Uzbekistan. The design features a repeated geometric design, often referred to as the elephant print. The design shares many similarities with the Turkoman 'Tekke' design. Modern Bokhara rugs are commonly hand woven in Pakistan, and feature soft and luxurious pile.
