Approximately 60 cm x 40 cm, this small Jaldar-style rug features repeating diamond guls within a tidy geometric border. The design is predominantly grey with cream highlights and black outlines for contrast. Its compact size suits an indoor entryway, bedside, or tucked beside a reading chair or desk.
About this design
Jaldar rugs feature a very soft and luxurious pile, and are commonly woven in Pakistan. They can easily be confused with Pakistani Bokhara rugs, which have a very similar construction and feel. Jaldar, however, feature more angular, diamond shaped guls, as opposed to the more rounded guls found on Bokhara.
